Thundery rain outbreaks southwest
Mon May 12: Monday A front in the west of the UK brings cloud and outbreaks of
showery rain here, most frequent in the morning. Rain may be extensive
with heavy spells in the southwest of Scotland. Drier in Ireland with
broken cloud and some sunny spells. Dry with good spells of sunshine
in the east of Scotland and eastern England lasting throughout the
day. Through afternoon, some outbreaks of rain into Ireland and Wales.
Heavy bursts in Wales with chance of thunderstorms as dusk approaches.
Highs may get to 25C in east England, around 21 to 23C for many, 16C
in the wetter west.
