Tue Dec 16: Wednesday Some early mist and fog through central and eastern areas. This lifting to leave dry conditions but increasing cloud. Rain in Scotland, western England and Wales as well as eastern Ireland, breezy too. The rain passing east into this afternoon but becoming more patchy. Further rain arriving in eastern Ireland and southwest Scotland as well as western Wales. Breezy for all, gales in the west. Brighter in the far northwest of Scotland. Highs at 8 to 10C.
