Mon May 12: Tuesday Broken cloud in southern areas of the country on Tuesday. Good spells of sunshine for other areas, although some cloud affecting eastern coasts as well as the far north of Scotland. Some showers developing this afternoon across the south of Ireland, southern Wales and parts of southern England. Further cloud in northern and central Scotland. Bright or sunny spells for other areas. Highs at 24C in western Scotland, widely 20 to 23C but 18C on eastern coasts of England and Scotland as well as the far southwest of England.
